HELP IN HAITI (M. C. Gillette)

We know that recovery from the effects of a disaster of the magnitude of the earthquake in Haiti will take years, probably even decades.  For many of our Haitian brothers and sisters who have lost everything, recovery may never happen on this side of the mortal veil. 

 

There are far too many opportunities to help for us to take advantage of them all.  What we must each do is discern our individual passion and possibilities in response to the needs of the world, under the mandate of our Baptismal Vows.  The general Christian response pattern of pray; learn; act, will serve us well.  The list of service possibilities provided here is a dew-drop in the ocean of options.  Give where your heart calls you to give.  Serve as your heart calls you to serve.  Remember that if you would like details on an unfamiliar charity before you donate, you can check out most established organizations at
